		The name of the designer was Colonel Harry C. Kessler
	What is the history of the Montana State Flag?
		1898. Colonel Kessler, head of the volunteers of the 1st Montana Infantry recruited to fight in the 1898 conflict, the Spanish-American War. He created a flag to distinguish his men from other forces.
		The Kessler flag consisted of the Montana state seal on a dark blue background with the words "1st Montana Inft’y U.S.V." at the top
		1905: The flag design became extremely popular and was adopted minus the Infantry title
		1981: The Montana Legislature adopted the design and added the word "Montana" in Roman lettering above the seal
		1985: The lettering of the word "Montana" was officially changed to Helvetica Bold type
