Jupiter is the fifth furthest planet in our Solar system from the
Sun, the average distance being 788 million Km (5.20 Au), Earth by
comparison is five times this distance away from the sun.
How big is it? Interesting Facts
about the Planet Jupiter
The
Planet Jupiter has a diameter of about 142984km, eleven times that
of the Earth, this makes it the biggest Planet in our Solar
System, and it's mass is in the order of 1.90e27 kg, far higher
than any of the other Planets in our Solar System, 318 times
greater than that of Earth.
What is it like on
the surface of the Planet Jupiter ?
Jupiter is a
gas planet consisting of approximately 90% hydrogen and 10% helium
and consequently has no surface as such, the gases simply get
denser with increasing depth. Winds on the Planet have been
measured in excess of 400 mph by space probes.
Does the Planet
